Beschreibung: Historische Wein- und Obstfarm mit 486 Hektar an der "Cape Wine Route" im Tal des Breede River. Der charmante kleine Ort Mc Gregor aus dem 19. Jahrhundert ist ganz in der Nähe.

Auf 20,78 ha wird Wein angebaut, darunter Colombar, Clairette Blanche, Chardonnay, Merlot, Nouvelle, Pinotage, Ruby Cabernet, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. 7 ha mit Bulida Aprikosen. 11 ha werden ständig bewässert (Sprinkler) und weitere 11 ha (mit Brunnen) eignen sich zur weiteren Landwirtschaft - hier würden Oliven prächtig gedeihen. 2004 gewann die Farm den prestigeträchtigen Preis als "Farm des Jahres", vergeben von der Mc Gregor Weinkellerei. Das Wasser stammt aus Vrolijkheit und wird in 5 Dämmen gespeichert. Insgesamt werden derzeit 49 ha bewässert. Auf dem restlichen Land, das nicht zum Weinanbau genutzt wird findet man die typische Karoo-Landschaft mit einheimischen Pflanzen und etwas Wild, wie z.B. "Duikers" und "Grysbokke".

Die Farm liegt ca. 2 Autostunden von Kapstadt entfernt, man fährt dabei entlang der malerischen "Cape Wine Route". Der Kaufpreis als eingeführtes Unternehmen beträgt 9,95 Mio. Rand. Eine Liste der im Preis enthaltenen Werkzeuge und Gerätschaften steht auf Anfrage zur Verfügung.

Description: This historical 486 ha fruit and wine farm is situated on the Cape Wine Route in the Breede River Valley just outside the charmingly preserved 19^th century village of Mc Gregor.

Vineyards constitute a total of 20.78 ha with a variety of cultivars including Colombar, Clairette Blanche, Chardonnay, Merlot, Nouvelle, Pinotage, Ruby Cabernet, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. 7 Ha of the acreage is planted with Bulida apricots. 11 Hectares are under permanent irrigation (sprinklers) and another 11 hectares (with borehole) is suitable for further development. Olives will do extremely well here. This prestigious farm won the 2004 award for farm of the year at the renown Mc Gregor Winery. Water is obtained from Vrolijkheid Irrigation ans stored into 5 dams. 49 ha is currently under irrigation. The remainder of the not taken up by vineyards is typical Karoo veldt with indigenous plants and small game such as “Duikers” and “Grysbokke.”
